We built AgentID after discovering our own AI agents had no identity.
We were one employee departure away from a security incident. So we built the solution we needed.
The problem we faced
In early 2025, we had 23 AI agents running across our infrastructure. Customer support bots with Zendesk access. Sales agents with Salesforce credentials. Data sync agents with production database access.
Then a senior engineer left. We needed to revoke their access. But their credentials were hardcoded in 17 different agent configurations across 4 different authentication protocols.
We couldn't revoke without breaking everything. We spent 3 weeks manually rotating credentials, updating configs, and hoping we didn't miss anything.
That's when we realized: every company deploying AI agents is one employee departure away from the same problem.
